Cupping
-
Cupping is an ancient healing practice with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as Egyptian and Middle Eastern traditions amongst many others. Small cups used with suction are applied to your skin to help create space and movement within the body’s tissues.
Cupping helps to release stagnation, draw out tension, improve circulation, increase energy flow and support your body’s natural detoxification process.
This therapy promotes deep relaxation offering both physical and energetic relief.
Cupping marks may look like bruising, they are not bruises but are signs of stagnation being released. They typically fade within a few days to one week.
We offer cupping alongside massage and energy work which work beautifully together and help to reconnect you to your body’s natural rhythm, restoring a sense of balance from within.

Expect a serene room where you can relax and settle in for your cupping session.
For Express cupping small cups are placed on your back, neck and shoulders using gentle suction to lift the skin and fascia, aiming to increase circulation and draw out stagnation—both physical and energetic.
The sensation is often described as a deep, satisfying pull. It shouldn’t be painful and most clients find it soothing, especially the release you feel when they come off.
Some cups may remain stationary, while others are slowly glided across the skin. A gentle massage is also used to promote healthy circulation to the tissues.
Our 60 minute session can be booked if you would prefer a longer massage or it can include more than one area of the body to be cupped such as the legs or feet.
After your session you may notice circular marks on the skin- these are not bruises but signs that stagnation has been released. They typically fade within a few days.
You might feel lighter, clearer and deeply relaxed, with continued shifts unfolding over the next 24–48 hours.
As always, this session is intuitively guided and adapted to your body’s needs on the day.

When releasing stagnation in the body it is common that you may feel emotions (energy in motion) move through you causing you to feel the need to release (cry or laugh).
If anything comes up for you it is important to honour those emotions, feel them and let them move.
You may experience a temporary worsening of symptoms or a surge in detoxification reactions during the days to follow the seesion.
It typically occurs when the body starts to eliminate toxins or heal underlying issues, causing a short-term exacerbation of symptoms before improvement occurs but rest assured that this is a sign that the body is responding to the healing process.
If this occurs it is important to listen to your body and provide appropriate support.
