KAMBO is the medicinal secretion of the sacred giant monkey tree frog found deep in the Amazon rainforest, a master healer medicine which detoxifies us on a cellular level.
This medicine takes us on a deep somatic journey inwards helping us to release energetic blockages and trapped emotions in our physical and energetic bodies.
When trauma occurs our nervous system goes into fight, flight or freeze mode and if we are unable to process the trauma and expel it’s energy after the conflict it manifests as dis-ease in our physical and mental bodies.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
After filling out our consultation form you will have your intention for sitting with the medicine. What are you releasing and what are you calling in?
We begin with a sacred smoke cleansing ritual followed by a grounding meditation to anchor you into your body in preparation for receiving the medicines.
Rapé medicinal snuff is served to begin the cleansing process and to further ground you (optional). This master plant teacher works synergistically with Kambo cleansing toxins, resetting your energy centres, anchoring in your ceremony intentions and assisting with deeper meditation. Served by blowing the medicine into the nose it is absorbed by the mucous membranes and passes into the bloodstream. You may feel an intense heat in the head/face for around 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Together we intuitively choose where and how many gateways are placed on your body to receive kambo medicine. These are made by using a hot incense stick to superficially burn the skin creating a direct gateway for the medicine to enter your lymphatic system. You will be encouraged to drink some water and intuitively guided we begin to apply the medicine slowly, one dot at a time.
You may have had other experiences with Kambo medicine where all dots are applied at once, this is not our style of serving. We offer a slow and informed approach so that we do not overwhelm the nervous system any further.
This slow and soft approach is designed to allow you to journey deeply without being rushed or forced into the process. The medicine is hyper intelligent and even with this approach you will experience its profound effects after only one dot being placed.
As the medicine begins to work you may feel a quickening of your heart rate and a warm flush throughout the body. You may also feel nausea and discomfort as the medicine works to shift all that needs to move. These feelings are temporary and the key is to surrender fully to all that comes up for you. Some also experience a deep meditative state.
Your journey with Kambo lasts approximately 20 minutes to 1 hour, sometimes longer.
Along with these effects you may also experience a physical, emotional and/or energetic purge. This is kambo moving energy & toxins for the body to process and eliminate.
During your journey you will also experience the therapeutic benefits of sound therapy as we use shamanic instruments to assist with the removal of discordant energies.
Once the medicine has been removed and your journey comes to a close you may rest and enjoy a kambo nap. As you rest we will use crystal bowl sound therapy and channel hands on or off energy healing.
After your rest Sananga eye medicine is offered (optional).
A sense of calmness, clarity and lightness can be felt immediately following your journey which can last for many weeks. The benefits of the medicine have a cumulative effect with many reporting pain relief, increased self awareness and much, much more. Please do remember that this is a collaborative process with you and the medicine both doing the work. Most of the deep work occurs after the journey. You must be committed to integrating and processing all that comes up following your ceremony. Therapeutic practices such as meditation, journaling, movement and breathwork can help with the process.
To close the ceremony plant based snacks and warming tea will be served along with the space to share your experience.

Hapé (hap-ay) or Rapé (rap-ay) is a powerful master plant teacher working to sharpen the mind, improve mental focus and release energetic blockages.
Drawing from its earth and fire energy it works on a physical and spiritual level to calm, ground and cleanse our mind and body.
Indigenous ancestors of the Amazon (Yawanawa, Matses, Huni Kuin, Nukini- to name a few) have worked with the spirit of this plant for many years to prepare the body-mind in connecting more deeply with the spirit of the rainforest and the animals there before going on a community hunt. The community leaders will prepare and bless the powdered medicine with prayers. Typically curated from finely ground sacred tobacco leaves, tree ash and other medicinal herbs, each blend carries its own unique energy and ancient wisdom.

We prepare the medicine which is then served by blowing it through our Tepi (ceremonial pipe). It is received through the nostrils where the medicine is absorbed into the mucus membrane and passed into the bloodstream.
You may feel an intense heat in the head/ body for around 30 seconds to 1 minute as the medicine begins to open up your chakras and move stagnant energy. A sense of calmness, clarity, lightness and gratitude can be felt immediately.
We will use shamanic instruments to energetically assist in the movement of energy/ removal of blockages.
You are given time to sit with the medicine to meditate and receive any downloads that may drop in. You may wish to journal at this point.
You may experience some temporary effects such as increased heart rate, increase in body temperature, emotional release and/or physical purge. To open the space we begin with a sacred smoke cleansing ritual.
Then we tune into our bodies with a grounding meditation and intention setting.
Once you are in a comfortable space the medicine is served by carefully dropping the liquid into the corners of your closed eyes.
We then encourage you to open your eyes to activate its healing as it is received into the body when the eyes are opened.
You will feel its effects immediately. A temporary stinging in the eyes will be felt and heat may radiate through in the body as the energy is moved.
We encourage you to connect to your breath and inner strength to assist in the moving of this energy throughout your body.
You will feel an expansive sensation especially in the upper chakras (throat, third eye and crown).
After the initial intensity of the medicine wanes a sense of calmness, clarity, lightness and gratitude can be felt immediately.
